Dentrix Ideas

Stop Updating Dentrix

Whenever Dentrix releases an update, there are always bugs. This latest update issues have drug on and we have had to endure almost a month of Dentrix failing to function properly. This is effecting patients, staff, and the business as a whole. If Dentrix were a car, I would have traded it in by now.

    Admin response

This issue was resolved yesterday. If you are still having issues, please reboot the server to ensure the fixes have taken place.

If something not broke DON'T fix it. This new update is unnecessary & confusing!

Once again Dentrix released another update over the weekend. Once again, this update has not resolved the issues created by the original update over a month ago.

The issue was not resolved with the latest update. Please fix your software so I don't have to keep resetting my server, when it doesn't fix anything. Stop having me have all my staff log out of dentrix in the middle of the day to run utilities that don't fix the software. Fix your software. Maybe look into bringing outside programmers, because in house programmers are leaving a lot to be desired. I am now looking into other software, due to the fact that Dentrix doesn't function properly.

This Admin response is not only tone deaf, but does not adress the root issue. This post is not refering to one specific bug caused by a poorly designed update that took over 24 hours to resolve. Practices are upset that Dentrix is pushing updates too frequently without any sort of proper testing to ensure that basic functionality of the software remains in tact. This demonstrates a complete lack of understaing of practice workflows.

I agree. I wish Dentrix would improve the features it already has. The chart and treatment planner need a complete overhaul. The whole system is too slow. I wish the R&D team could come work in my office and see what offices REALLY need.

Thank you. I feel like every week ther is some new update that causes more harm than good. We need a faster Dentrix, not one filled with buggy new features that slow our office workflow and negativly impact patients and staff. Our practice has all new computers, server, and networking gear, yet Tooth Chart still takes 30 seconds to load...
