When I run Billing Statements and want to print them out, I can only directly print them out to my physical paper printer. I cannot print them to PDF because it starts creating a file per every 25 pages, so if I have 500 statements it creates 20 files. For each file I have to give a name, and then I have 20 separate files to manage. Which is not very manageable or convenient. I know there's a specific limit with this report because it can result in many many pages of statements but 25 pages seems very small- I run many other reports with hundreds of pages (eg. New Patient List) and can print it out to 1 PDF file with no issues. Why is the Billing Statements limited to 25 pages only is over my head- we're talking about a PDF file of barely 150KB. I know Dentrix can do better than this.
This can already be changed in Office Manager > Maintenance > Practice Setup > Preferences > Print Options (tab). Increase the "Statement Count" number. (I suspect that this old feature harkens back to the 1990s when Dentrix communicated with printers that had limited memory. In order to not overload the printer memory and cause an error, this limited the amount of pages that were sent at a time). For this idea, I am curious - Dentrix already has an option to send the billing statement as a PDF directly to the patient's Document Center (It is a checkbox option also on the same Print Options window I mentioned above). Would doing this eliminate the need to print a PDF of all of your statements?
