When a patient receives a statement and see that 3 fillings were done on the same dos but there are no teeth #'s, they think they have been overbilled for the same procedure on one tooth 3 times. Pts complain the statements are too difficult to read and they don't understand them. Pts have left the practice over the complex statements they get. Simplify your statements. Have the procedures together for the same dos along with what patient pd and insurance pd. They should be grouped together. That way pts can see what they still owe for. Staff spend so much time breaking down account balances for people because patients do not understand how to read their statements. Please help dental offices become more efficient with easier to read statements.
