When a patient has two insurances, I want to be able to completely finish out the primary claim, including any payments AND adjustments. When I am about to close the claim is the best time to ask if I want to create a secondary claim, not when I have only posted the payment to the primary. I then have to say Yes to create the secondary, and it closes out the primary. Then I have to close out the secondary, go BACK to the primary, add the adjustment, and then go BACK to the secondary claim to send that one in with a copy of the finished primary claim.
