Currently, Dentrix Pay sends outgoing payment request texts from a generic 800 number with the phrase "your dental provider." While we understand the importance of reaching out to patients before sending a payment request, we believe that including the PRACTICE NAME by default would improve trust and clarity for patients.
Reason for Request:
In today’s digital landscape, patients are increasingly cautious about unsolicited payment links. Without our practice name in the message, these requests may appear suspicious or even be ignored. By defaulting the message to include the dental office's name, patients can more easily recognize the request as legitimate, reducing confusion and improving payment response rates.
Suggested Implementation:
Instead of “your dental office,” the message should pull the practice name on file in Dentrix.
No need to allow full customization—just a system-wide update to ensure the text reads:
"Hello, this is [Practice Name]. A payment of [$amount] is due. Click here to pay securely: [link]. Thank you!"
This small change would enhance patient trust and improve the effectiveness of Dentrix Pay while maintaining security and consistency.
