There should be an option to disable automatic hotfixes and such, because they are not always flawless. It is not convenient to walk into the office on a Monday morning after there has been a silent update over the weekend and something is not working the way it should. We should be able to update when it works for the office the same way as any of the major updates.
Thank you for posting to Dentrix Ideas! Please note that the option to disable auto-updates exists and is configurable by the admin user. Please see the help file link below. Additionally, there is an opt-out option for mass updates that have been communicated via email. Please note that the user interface has changed from version 23.3 to 23.4, so the screenshots may look somewhat different than what you have installed. https://hsps.pro/Dentrix/Help/mergedProjects/Office%20Manager/Practice_Setup/Preferences/Setting_automatic_update_preferences.htm
We should be able to disable updates entirely. I've already detailed here https://dentrix.ideas.aha.io/ideas/DTX-I-4287
Automatic forced updates can cause data loss, downtime and financial losses. You are the only vendor in the entire market that doesn't allow us to control our own updates. If this does not change, I will change vendors.
