Customize billing statements
Allow the practice to customize billing statements. For example: option to omit the patient chart number; include or hide certain transaction types; change any of the wording (e.g. Balance Forward, Finance Charge); add any wording; change size of any section; change any of the text color so it stands out more; change fonts; etc.

I vote YES for the ability to customize statements.
Being able to enter a start date for a Statement would help greatly.

We need customized billing statements!!! Ledgers can get out of control at times and in the case of my practice the people handling billing did not manage them well enough so it is important for us as a practice to be in control of what the patient sees on the statement so it's less confusing. When printing a billing statement there's no control of the information the appears on there. If they're being billed for a balance for a year or two back it only shows up on the billing statement as "Balance Forward". Also I bill patients as we receive payment for their claims. So I'm printing them individually instead of running a report. A note section specific to the patient I'm printing a statement for would be nice so that I can explain to them what the balance is for. Ledgers are confusing especially to patients they barely know what's going on. Writing a hand written note on every statement explaining the breakdown is annoying. Please implement a note section on the billing statements so I can type in the note before printing it out.
A detailed billing statement - making it easy for patients to understand why the owe "x-amount" - is a must!! The lack of information provided on the current statements prevents them from paying until they "get around" to calling our office for an explanation (which typically takes 3-4 statements in the mail/1 per month) which absolutely too long! Especially when the issue can be corrected by our office being able to provide statements that clearly explain what was billed, what was paid by both the insurance and patient for each service rendered & any reasons for treatment being denied.
Yes would love a way to individualize the balance forward date so the patient's know what they were being billed instead of just balance forward and the balance.
