When entering a new patient (either in appointment book in New Patient Information or in Family File entering a new guarantor or family member), you can select a referral source. If the referral source has not yet been entered into Dentrix, there is not an Add button option. Suggestion: If the user has password rights to access Referral Maintenance, offer a button here to open Referral Maintenance from these locations, so that sources can be added/editied easily while in the workflow.

Great idea! See my suggestion for the exact same thing, but inside of Progress Notes in the Chart for adding a new Specialist as needed when "Referring To...".
