We have had multiple patient's complain that they are not able to update/change their own password within the online portal. They feel it is a breech of Hipaa and their security in not being able to update that personal information themselves.
Agreed. I feel it is wrong to show us their passwords without their (the patient's) knowledge of us knowing their passwords. Passwords are private. To allow us to access them, without telling the patients we can see it, is not right.

The training on the portal does not give transparency to all of the issues with the portal being a successful tool/ aid.
Such a shame, because the beauty of the integration into dentrix is being distracted by a poorly designed portal experience.
