Quick Letters is just grabbing the data from the first continuing care item in a patients family file when we need it to allow us to specify which continuing care item the letter is for. Please insert an options button to allow specific options to be set up for default and to allow changes.

Yes this seems rather inefficient as it stands. We are trying to create a merge letter form for patients to confirm their contact information and dental insurance. We can't even put the primary policy holders name in nor the insurance group number and id number. This also is unavailable for secondary insurance. I am sure this isn't rocket science and wouldn't take but a few minutes. I see this was requesting in 2012! Wow not a great turnaround for improvements that seem very minor.

Add the patients AGE as a merge field in the letters so you can generate a list of patients and include the age instead of having to go though the continuing care module.

I see that patients "Preferred name" <>is an available date element for our quick letters, however, the "Referred by" section does not have a preferred name option. When we are thanking our existing patients for referrals we would much rather use their preferred name instead of their formal legal name. Thank you

In the letter or custom list setup options there should be an option to show the patients next visit in your report. Our office likes to keep track of patients that have had a particular procedure and whether or not they are following up with healing checks and recalls. This option would help us out so much in finding these patients who have 'fallen off' their treatment plan!

Merge ALL available information from ALL fields in Dentrix. SPECIFICALLY PRIMARY INS SUBSCRIBER ID#, AGE, ETC. This is a dental program, however, you can't bring over the single most important piece of information. Please add element code for this!

Office manager | Letters & Custom Lists | Misc | Patient Report (by filters) | Edit | column on the right, 4th line from the bottom you can search by procedure code but the code does not display in the report. This would be helpful when running the report for multiple procedures.

I would like the ability to search for patients who have the same insurance Group number, and put it in an excel spread sheet. I think this would be a simple change in Patient Report by Filters, and would benefit all who use Dentrix or Easy Dental.

If y'all can add element code for Age subscriber ID primary and secondary insurance it will make our world easier. We utilize this on the route sheet and we are having to manually enter information in every single sheet since there is no code for it.

When drafting custom lists based on procedures codes completed on a certain date, it would be a nice option to be able to have the completion date as one of the fields. Right now, it pulls the future appt date information.

I believe it would be easier for users to make their own list if the insurance companies were also put in to a selector. So you can pick and choose what companies you want.

We need more merge fields: Guarantor Details (address, phone, etc...) like you can find in quick labels Subscriber Details - Birthdate, ID Insurance Plan - Primary and Secondary - Fee Schedule attached to plan, Payer ID, last update etc... We would like to be able to export EVERY field in the Patient set up, and Insurance set up to create a letter and an excel spreadsheet similar to the Patient Route slip (with some extras). The fee schedule on the insurance plan and missing subscriber birth dates or subscriber ID's are the most vital.

In our old system, when we entered specific procedure codes, the system automatically prompted us to print letters to referring dentists and patients. The code was linked to which letters had to be printed and came up automatically to be printed. We then edited it and printed it right away. This way it was not forgotten.

The appointment Superbill which lists all procedures commonly performed in a dental office, as well as various patient information. I was told that this "letter" was developed as a possible itemized receipt that a patient might submit to their insurance company. BUT, the appt. date, appt. time and Date of Service were set to EXCLUDE today's date. That makes the Date of Service show up as the patient's NEXT appt., which might be months from now. Please allow the Superbill to be dated for the patient's current appt. as the Visit Form and Encounter Form do.

At present, a document can be attached to procedure codes (in the Procedure Code Editor, chose Edit Note. You can add Recommendation Notes and/or Recommendation Documents). If those Recommendation Documents recognized and worked with merge fields, this would be awesome!

An easy solution for you is to edit your word template. Rather than trying to use a Dentrix merge field, in Word | Insert | Date and Time, choose the date format and check "Update automatically". Each time the letter is opened for merge, the date will be updated to today's date.

Quickletter merges do not export a specific set of Ccare data. The needs to be a means from the letter template name to force a specific data set. Otherwise the fields are useless because you never know what is going to be exported.

There are features available in the Treatment Manager which are not available as filters in Letters. Treatment Manager allows filtering by insurance renewal date, but does not have street address as an available column. It would be extremely helpful to either add insurance renewal month to Letters, or add street address to Treatment Manager.
