We often run into the problem of entering duplicate patients. If Dentrix could signal an alert that the patient we are entering is already in the system based on name and birthdate, it would save countless time and errors due to creating duplicate charts and ledgers. It creates a difficult situation when x-rays are in several different charts and separate ledgers for the same patient exist.

Patients do not want to give out their social security numbers. An alert that the patient we are entering is already in the system based on name and birthdate. First name and birthdate to eliminate if the patient has been married or divorced.
