Improve Auditing: add patient index, improve report

For all transactions, notes, appointments, reports, changes made to files and patient information entered, should include a mandatory field for the user who entered the information. Can either pull in automatically from who is logged in, or can be typed in with special password corresponding with each user id so they know who did what with more accuracy. Should also record which workstation the change was made from, for greater accuracy. When there is an override user, the next action from the override for that security option and logged in user (if the action is one that is audited) should include both users in the audit, indicating the one that is the override user.

On behalf of James Barness, DDS:

It would be great to have changes/deletions shown in the audit report for Tx planned procedures, not only completed ones.

Or having a button in the tx planner showing the tx plan history, just like the one in the appointment book

This is more of a headache.  This should be made a privileges setting.  Instead of a person like me, an administrator having to enter a password every time, just give access for certain things to certain people.  I spend more time entering my password.  Also, password it toooo looong.  You can make it shorter and still have numerous combinations.

We should be able to track who has deleted or changed journal notes.

Would love to print a daily/weekly audit trail report for scanned documents. I scanned documents in the wrong patient's file and have no way to identify the wrong patient.

Be able to track all password verified transactions by user for not only changes made but every entry a staff member makes like set completing an appointment, ledger entries, Family File creations. A practice with multiple teams members may use more than one workstation throughout the day, and inefficient to continually log out so if I set items to be verified I would like to be able to generate a report, it will help to determine efficiency and accuracy per team member..

Audit trail for any and all entries, changes, etc made to the entire dentrix system such as entering in new insurance with group #'s etc. My issues; Front office team not following protocol on entering new ins to patients accts. Issues: duplicate insurances. I would like to pinpoint who need the adequate training. Also, patient and account changes, etc....

It would be great if you could run a trail audit on who entered payments. Or see where payments went with an audit when check numbers are entered wrong or under the wrong patient.

I am trying to find only deleted and changed insurance claim, patient ledger changes on the Audit trail by a specific User ID. Also, would like to see that if a month is not closed out, one cannot do anything , until that month is closed. Trying to figure out how you can be better able to detect theft before it can get out of control.

In the chart audit you are able to view transactions and logins however we would like to be able to see when someone writes a chart entry.

We would like to be able to print a list of all contact notes made in the office journal by staff member. This would allow me to easily monitor staff productivity and/or follow up with patient concerns/compliments. Thank you for your consideration!

It would be nice to be able to track which Dentrix user changes information in the family file and exactly what changes are made. This would help with training and quality management. It wouldn't be a bad idea for ALL of Dentrix.

Dentrix should add to the audit trail functions for when a prescription is printed and reprinted, not refilled but reprinted. That should be in the audit trail report and the prescription reports. It currently is not and per Dentrix rep they recommended I post this idea.

I want the ability to find out which user (we have passwords enabled) actually posted a payment via the Audit Trail report, or some other report. I noticed a payment accidentally posted to the wrong provider, and I want to be able to bring this to the attention of the user who did it in correctly, and as of now there is no way to find out who posted an incorrect payment.

Since the expansion of memory, leaving out any entry in the audit trail report shouldn't be a problem anymore. Everything added, edited, deleted and by whom (passwords activated) including time and date should be in this report. Items to include but not limited to; * When credentials are required to delete or add anything it should include for what procedure, adjustment, and what time. * Time, date, and user of whoever entered adjustment/procedure/treatment Some may think it is overkill but is necessary for obvious security reasons and audits. As well as keep Dentrix competitive in this sector.

When clicking on an entered procedure or treatment, completed or not, it should have a button or include in the window detailed history. The detailed history should include, changes, who entered, time of entry, changes.

It would be great if we could do an audit for a specific patient or day. Otherwise sifting through countless pages to find a problem specific to one ledger is extremely time consuming.

There should be a report to see what reports have been ran, and who ran them.

it would be really great to be able to know which employee entered a particular insurance payment. we just had one from march that was entered totally incorrectly and now it's too late to fix it in history but if we knew who did it, we can educate them and use it as teaching material so the same errors don't happen again.

After a procedure is posted, we should be able to view which staff member posted said procedure. After calling Dentrix support to inquire on this matter, we were informed that the trail begins if there is a modification made to the posted procedure, but not prior to this. This is an extremely important auditing feature. Thanks.
