Add preferred name to custom tags for Patient Engage Messaging
We would like to have the option to use the preferred name instead of the first name for the patient engage text messages that are sent out to patients
I second this suggestion. Dentrix Appointment Book has an option for "Name/Pref" that sends the Preferred Name if present, or the First Name if the Preferred Name isn't set. It's a courtesy to the patient to refer to them by their first name, and in some cases it prevents confusion - such as multiple family members with the same first name but different preferred names.
Some of our patients go by a preferred name rather than their first name and we would like to be able to address them in their text messages and emails by the name they go by.
