Ours is a maxillofacial prosthodontics office. We do a fair amount of medical claims which often include crowns and pontics for which there are no medical translations. However there is a non-specific code of 41899 which is the actual translation for such CPT codes. Without being able to translate the entire treatment plan into medical coding, it shortchanges my ability to put the entire treatment into a preauthorization. I can't use your Dentrix medical electronic billing and am forced to file both the auth and eventual claim on the insurance website instead. This could be wonderful if you will do it.
