Dentrix G4 Productivity Pack 6 added the feature for Alert Note templates. Does this satisfy the request for Templates? View Details: http://www.dentrix.com/products/dentrix/whats-new.aspx

Unfortunately, no. The point of the template should be to save time by not having to type the same note over and over. The template only allows 50 characters, not enough for any of my normal notes--100 characters would be more like it--so I still have to type a lot of the note out. (I did try creating 2 templates, one for each half of a note--for some reason it caused every word to be capitalized!) Also it would be better if the template is the flag/alert "description", and under each description template is a corresponding "note" which would allow more characters and appear in the note box. Also if we could choose which areas would display the note for each note template. So basically a template should fill in ALL sections of the alert pop-up, and could be edited as needed for individual patients.

This due date should be displayed in the Hover window and family file and "i" window as well to alert the front desk that they must collect the forms overdue for updating.

I would imagine that the criteria for global patient alerts could be as diverse as the filters for the Letter Merge module. Great suggestion, and I hope the Dentrix team is able to add this one soon!

does anyone else experience patients who have been in for 2 cleaning appts as well as restorative (crown, fillings, etc) and suddenly they are maxed out and place the blame on us thinking we should have known when they were going to max out. Dentrix needs to prompt us when we have exceeded the maximum insurance available for a patient. It would be so easy to have a pop up appear when booking a new appointment if a patient has exceeded $1000 or $1500 max.

AWESOME IDEA!! WE had something like this on Eaglesoft and I really liked it. You could see from any workstation, at a glance, who was here, late and seated!!

Family balance and appointment failure notices that are populated automatically, especially when creating new appointments, would be EXTREMELY beneficial. I love this idea!
