In the "advanced search" section when looking up a patient, there should be an option to search by Insurance group/policy number. Sometimes we receive dental plan breakdowns from insurance companies by email but for security purposes, they don't put the patients name. It is hard to find out which patient it is for.
Secondly, some insurance companies are paid out by a different carrier than the one listed on their card, (ex. "Group Source" is sometimes billed under "Claim Secure" depending on the policy) if we could search by group number, this would eliminate the need to call the insurance company to confirm.
