I would like to request an advanced option of the audit trail. The audit trail is severely deficient when needing to investigate changes that may have been made where that is for HIPAA, accounting, record changes, or fraud. It would be best to show a real time accounting for all actions taken within the system and most importantly, it should be by patient and by task. Ideally, I should be able to go the the patient's ledger, for example, and see a history of who, what and when. If not feasible within the module itself, at a minimum I should be able to put more search parameters into the audit trail to narrow and specify my search. Did you know that deleted claims from the ledger do NOT reflect on the audit trail? That's a big fraud risk area. I have a degree in accounting and am working on my masters in fraud and forensic accounting. I would love to help facilitate the improvement of this function as it is vital fraud risk management function.
