It would be nice to have the option to send patients their receipts via email. I often get asked to send their receipt via e-mail but have to go through the troubnle of printing the receipt to then scan it and then send it via email .
Michael made a comment below and he's correct. It is very easily done through print to pdf or when you do a walkout- batch it, send to their doc center and email from there.
While it's not a perfect fix, you can always click "Microsoft Print to PDF" and save the receipt directly to a folder on your desktop for easy access. I have a "scans" folder as well as an "x-ray" folder on my desktop that are configured to automatically scan documents into these folders. Dentrix will export patient images into the "x-rays" folder, and my scanner application automatically puts docs in the "scans" folder. I have found that it saves a lot of time when searching for documents.
