ORTHO, Entering Separate Maximum For Orthodontic Work

We would like to track Orthodontic maximus separate from yearly maximums. This will help us have accurate ledger and estimates without creating a separate patient ortho account. Creating secondary accounts will throw off our accurate active patient count.

We do the same thing in my office. We put in the Group Plan: Ortho so it is easily seen when searching by group numbers. I also go the coverage table & delete everything out but ortho. That way the lifetime max can be put in as standard & dentrix will keep track of how much of the max has been used. It would really be helpful if on the Dedct/Max screen we could add the ortho max there & have dentrix calculate that, but it won't.

We make the patient an ORTHO Account separate from the general account and we add in the Insurance a second time without a renewal date. We also annotate the group name to include ORTHO so we can distinguish between Ortho & General benefits. The Ortho Max is often a different amount on the MAX allowed. This keeps the ledgers clear. Hope this helps!
