Ortho is so complex and has so many variables that are patient specific, such as lifetime max for orthodontic work. It would also be less confusing if the ortho codes are only applied to the ortho maximum, and the system to know to only pull the ortho used benefits from the ortho codes that have been used for the lifetime of that plan.
