Dentrix Ideas

The Appointment Time Pattern should not block an appt from being booked if there are too many Xs or slashes. Our practice does not use them and it's time consuming to have to go to that area to alter the time pattern just to be able to book an additional appointment. It should allow us to book as many appointments as we choose without having to alter the time pattern.

It is very time consuming when we cannot schedule an appointment without adjusting the time pattern. We do not need time patterns at our office.

I can see the use to not over book a provider, however, I feel this is restricting the majority of offices that will use the Appointment schedule itself to see if overbooked or not. Even when resizing an appointment to longer the default is to put an 'X' there, so you will get blocked from resizing the ppt if there are other Xs in the same time period. Yes this is definitely more hassle than helpful, and no way to disable it. PLEASE remove/disable option.

Every single office I have worked at, with Dentrix, doesn't use that useless feature. It is probably thee most annoying Dentrix feature that 9/10 offices could agree we could do without (but really, it's probably 10/10).

I have went as far as going through each and every single patients file and cleared out the x's from their CC setup. I've also went in the procedure code setup and removed all the x's from there - Even though there is no X's set up in ANYWHERE, when you attach the treatment from the "Initial" section, in the appointment through the appointment book, it reattaches all X's even when there is no where in the system where these X's remain.

Get rid of it Dentrix. It's garbage

If your office is not using the dots/x's/slashes, you can update the procedure codes in the Office Manager and turn off these marks. It was a hassle to do originally for our office, but once we went through each code used, it no longer effects us.
