We use the Office Journal to document reasons why a patient cancelled/reschedule an appointment with short notice. We use those entries to determine if we should pre-appointment a patient, or if it's better to put them on the Hot List to schedule when we have an opening.
We use the last five years of data to determine if someone is likely to cancel with short notice. After the recent update, the Office Journal defaults to one year, so we have to go through extra steps to get an answer that used to be instant.
