I loved this feature when I used Open Dental at another office. I can send follow up texts after appointments to see how they are doing, I cand reiterate post-op instructions in text form (let's face it, patient's would much rather have a text than a piece of paper), I can ask for google reviews through the text messaging system. And patient's can respond back! This is a great feature that should be implemented. There was a box at the top of Open Dental in a patient's chart that said Text and you just click that and type what you need.
