Patient Engage: Opt-In Messaging

There must be an improved method for opting in patients to Text Messaging in Patient Engage/Demandforce. Having to opt out the patient and then send an opt in request seems silly and can be time consuming for Office's with large databases. Need a method for opting in multiple patients at a time and have a radio button that indicates whether the patient is opted in or out like how there is already an "Opted Out" radio button for text messaging.

    Yes, we use consent forms on all new patients. Give us the option to default to opted in.

    Unless the patient is flagged do not communicate in Dentrix, they are assumed opted in. To have no default in patient engage and require we go in and manually opt them in renders the whole system almost moot. Maybe tie an automatic opt in text and email to be sent to new patients, or a check box in dentrix indicating they have signed a communications consent form to autopopulate to engage.
