Many times, families split or children grow up to have their own insurance. At that point, it is crucial to separate them from their original family in Dentrix. This results in the charts not being able to transfer. It is a major concern to not be able to do this at our office.

I found to separate spouse who has passed and I archive in Dentrix results in numerous credits and then debits in other spouse's ledger, pop box appears when trying to do this also when separating grown child from family. I can do it but wondering if practice amounts are correct. This has happened after upgrade to 7.4 and spoke with Dentrix support same for 7.6 and newer versions. Was easier before the upgrade. Please help, many thanks.....

This would be an awesome idea. Recreating a new chart for a patient that wants to have a separate account from their spouse, parents or other is very time consuming. A copy of ledger needs to be printed then transfer that information to their chart. Some of our patients have been with us for years. Please consider designing a new program to transfer the chart and ledger.
