The deposit slip report is my record of funds that are deposited into the bank account. When there is a credit card refund, that refund is not deducted from the total of credit card collections that are automatically deposited in the bank account. Therefore the total of credit card collections and the actual deposit do not agree. I have to manually write it on the deposit report how much and who the refund was made to, and take it off the total under credit card transactions and the overall total of the daily collection. It does show on the adjustment report but should definitely show on the deposit slip as a collection adjustment.
PLEASE FIX THIS!
We have two different people reconciling the daily collections & deposits and reconciling the deposits to the business bank account. So if there is a cancellation or refund of a credit card transaction, it isn't reflected on the sheet that accounts payable uses to reconcile to the bank account. Having it listed on the deposit slip or daily collection sheet or both would make it much easier for the bank deposits from credit cards to be verified. And credit cards are the majority method of payment now, so sometimes it becomes a long and tedious task.
We would be very happy with this change!
