Track sick leave, PTO, vacation, and holidays

Add options for the Time Clock to track sick leave, PTO, vacation, and holidays. Set up columns for regular hours and additional columns for each sick, vacation and holiday. Show vacation time as a different color. Options to auto pay holidays, also add an option for a "Per Diem" type, to pay a specific amount per day.

Would love to track PTO per employee, Vacations, holidays and no shows. This should be a priority for the timeclock feature in Dentrix, Denticon, Eaglesoft have these features available.

Having previously worked in EagleSoft, I was extremely disappointed in the timeclock feature in Dentrix. Having to print and manually calculate hours is crazy in 2021. We need to be able to track sick days, PTO, vacation, holiday, etc. Need to be able to set up a filter, so when an employee asks how much PTO they have left I can quickly give them an answer. At year end, I have to print the entire year and dig through all of the time punch entries to find how much they have used. This is extremely time intensive. I'm looking at previous comments going back to 2018- how long does "planning to implement take?"

Also add a feature to setup scheduled work hours for employees, so we can track late clock ins . We need this for employee evaluations.

Would be nice to set up time clock during date of hire which would track date of hire, when eligible for PTO, track PTO and time off, etc... would be amazing.

How many votes constitutes changes being made? It seems that the time clock features really need to be changed!! This is very frustrating for an office manager.

i agree and i wish it could be set up so that each employee can set up a time clock of his/her own at their computer without seeing everyone elses. so that each morning when i come in i could just click a time clock icon on my desk top and just my time clock would show up and i could clock in and out. as it is now i have to right click the dentrix launch icon in the lower right tool bar and than when the time clock menue pops up i have to scroll down until i find my name and than slect that and than clock in..... would be easier if it was just my name that appeared and at the end of the week i could just print it up and turn it in.

It would also be nice if the staff had to enter in a password to clock in so no one else can clock in for anyone else!

I have worked with many time clocks over the years in regards to payroll, and I can't believe a software as big as Dentrix has NO CAPABILITY to differentiate vacation/sick hours from regular hours. Now, precious time is wasted when I have to manually go look at each employees time card and manually track vacation hours. PLEASE EXPEDITE your efforts to solve this.

Dentrix Time Clock needs a COMPLETE OVERHAUL. I am currently paying for a separate software package because Dentrix time clock is outdated and unhelpful. I am paying and using Shopclock until the Dentrix module is fixed. Please see their website for ideas on how a real timeclock software package should work: http://www.shopclock.com/. I CAN NOT WAIT UNTIL THIS IS FIXED!

Yes, we agree this would be VERY helpful to Time Clock users. Many times, staffers do not get paid for their vacation or sick time because it doesn't get tracked properly in Dentrix. Then we have to retrace the time and issue new checks. It's absurd that you can only clock in and out without any allowances for paid time off tracking.

this is a great idea so that people can see for themselves what there hours are and do not have to ask OM etc.. there will be no confusion.

this would be an interesting idea. I also like the idea of password clock in/out.

I agree with all of the comments below. For the past 3 years, the number one challenge was effectively tracking PTO, vacation & holidays. Please, Dentrix, for my sanity, i need this ASAP!!!!

I agree that the Time Clockin Dentrix is really no better than paper and pen time tracking. Our system is password protected however and only the managers who have "rights" to the time clock can change a time punch. That is an easy problem to solve. It would also be nice if you could change the options in Dentrix Time Clock to keep time in portions of an hour rather than just hours and minutes worked. We have to hand calculate each employees (over 25) every pay period in order to turn it in to Paychex. Very time consuming.

Is there a way to add PTO or Holiday without having to just add the hours? I just got off the phone with support and they told me I have to manually add holidays in as they come? Is this true?

@Amanda Unfortunately that is correct. The only way to add holiday pay is to manually enter the hours. Lets get more requests on this topic, give it the weight it deserves. Thanks for the comment and the vote, Amanda.
