When creating an appointment for a new patient, add the following fields: work phone, cell phone, preferred name, occupation, drivers license number, age/birthdate, referral source, insurance, emergency contact, special needs, medical alerts, drug allergies, note field, email address, etc. Would also like to be able to choose billing type and Fee Schedule. Would also like any of these fields not already in the family file to be added.
It would be nice to have all the information as a NP so when we try to create NP welcome letters, it shows up. As it is now, we can only create a welcome letter to a patient who has a family file. Unless I'm doing something wrong.
A bookkeeper resume sample can be a great resource when crafting your own professional resume. A bookkeeper resume should highlight your financial skills and experience, as well as your attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information. Be sure to include specific examples of your work, such as implementing new financial systems or reconciling accounts, and tailor your resume to the specific bookkeeper position you're applying for. With a well-written and tailored bookkeeper resume, you'll be well on your way to landing your dream job.
We get the patient's name and number and invite them into the practice. It would be nice to have the insurance member id/ ss#, group#, and dob though. There was another comment about it being typed on the appt and that's how we do it or we write it down on a form...to burn later. My doctor's office emails me to fill out all this info digitally. That way, they don't have to waste their time doing it and can concentrate on what the patients really need. Why doesn't dental technology allow for this without charging extra? Somebody's going to re-invent this technology or we're just going to stop using something that really doesn't work anymore...
It would also be nice if an addition to adding these fields if some of them could be REQUIRED fields to book an appt. At least the first & last name, DOB, and phone number.
DOB NEEDED. If NP is a minor, parent/guardian info section would be nice (ie: parent name). This could be prompted when the DOB is entered. Would love to have a section for subscriber info if not the patient themselves.
I remember the "good ole days" when we didn't need any of this info. We just welcomed the new patient and put their name and number on the book. Then we did the 1-2 page paperwork when they got here. What was important was that they made an appointment to care for their teeth, and we were excited to help them. Things have surely gone downhill since, and we're FORCED to get this info now because insurance companies are nefarious. Next year, they'll add even more things. Just wait and see.

It would be great to allow for a box to add insurance information including member ID. I always have to type it into the appointment box.
