This would be a GREAT addition. Right now submitting tertiary insurances is so time consuming because it all has to be done manually. It is very common for people to have three insurances.

ANY updates???? This should be at the top of the list, not re-inventing the family file!

There needs to be a way to be able to add a third insurance on file for patients. We have several patients with 3 insurances and we are only able to bill 2 and they end up switching offices because we are not able to bill for them. Please fix this issue!!

i have dealt with all different kind of software including new and old ones. But Dentrix seems like a JOKE compared to most other software out there!!

Feature is been requested by the customers

Please add the ability to input additional insurance plans, even if Dentrix doesn’t support electronic submission for them. This would allow offices to manually print and mail claims while still tracking them within the system. Currently, there’s no way to enter a 3rd, 4th, or 5th insurance policy, which creates challenges—especially for patients with complex coverage setups. For example, some federal plans require billing the medical policy first for dental-related benefits, followed by the dental plan, and possibly a third plan through a spouse. Without the ability to enter and manage multiple policies, it becomes difficult for offices to accurately bill and retain patients who rely on layered insurance coverage.

Please also work on calculating the secondary insurance coverages into the Treatment Cases. Adding insurance is great, but if it doesn't calculate the coverages correctly, then it just creates another issue.

This has been in development since 2021. When are we to expect the ability to create tertiary insurance on Dentrix?

Please add this option to Dentrix! This would save so much time for the office staff!

This has been an issue since Covid-19 when so many families had their adult children move back home and never moved out. The adult children carry their own insurance and are also covered under the parents insurance. Soon it will be four insurances' or more!!!

any way to make it so insurance companies can realize that Health Smiles and NIHB are always secondary to private insurance. With Sunlife we have to delete the SS insurance - send the claims, delete the claim and then reenter the SS and then make up new claims

Yes please this would be so helpful. We have been waiting on this for so long the family dynamics has changed greatly and Dentrix really needs to be on board blended family carry multiple insurance I have seen up to 4

It was on the Dentrix road map over 3 years ago(per the tag above). Software is developed and becomes obsolete in less time than that. Come on Dentrix.

I agree!!! with todays "modern family" sometimes the pt even has 4 insurance but so many with 3 please make this update soon!!!!

Ridiculous that Dentrix hasn't done implemented this feature. It's been 5 YEARS since this was requested. Dentrix is so far behind the curve these days, it isn't even funny. About the only thing good about it is that it is NOT cloud based.

2024 and still waiting on basic things like this. It is crazy to me that some of the obvious things real offices need go completely ignored. I have been using Dentrix since April 10, 2000. I feel like this is a frequent request that could have been added years ago.
