I understand some office wanting to be "lazy" and not probe everything but that is a lawsuit waiting to happen. It is also quite confusing when trying to figure out where one is in the script.
I agree!! This drives me crazy when doing a new perio chart. It makes it very difficult to keep up with which tooth you're on. I can't look at it while putting in the numbers.

As a workaround: enter the first measurement (or change at least one entry), and select Save. When prompted to save All Entries or New Entries, choose New Entries. The previous exam information will disappear, and you may continue your exam.
It is very confusing when trying to do another perio chart on top of an existing one. It would seem better to start out with a blank chart and then be able to compare (overlay) with your existing chart.
YES!!! I really dislike the fact that if there was previous BOP entered, I have to click twice! once to remove the "old" BOP and once to add the new one being charted!!
Can we also have a side by side comparison view? When a patient has had active therapy, and improved, let's celebrate it with them! And if a patient has been absent and declined, let's reinforce the need for continuing care. Comparison's on a screen are a great visual aid!!
yes you can save new exam without old entries but on your new exam you can also only change 1 number and then just save as new exam and it looks like you did a full mouth charting again.
