Dentrix Ideas

e-mail quick letters

It really is silly that to e-mail quick letters to a patient you have to either cut and paste the letter into the e-mail box from dentrix or copy and paste the e-mail in MS Word when sending. there should be a option of sending directly.

I want to use Dentrix for my business but I do not know the procedure behind using this and it benefits. Please any of you can guide about it. This is my business site for which business I want to use this.

I agree with you guys mostly small businessman do not use this because of its user interface and some complicated features. I am always against these software complications and suggest some easy user interfaces so that a new person can easily understands and use it. I am running a website and I try to make its user interface easy and that is the reason I am grabing more traffic.

Yes, they need to improve it. There should be an option off direct email from letter. If they enable this feature I will use it for my website.

Although most small business don't use Outlook, if this is an option, you can email a Quick Letter document using the Send | Email function in MS Word via Outlook (Exchange).

This would be a great help, we e-mail statements to people upon their request, the only way to do that now is to print statement, scan into pt.document center and e-mail from there.

Agreed. It would be preferable that when I create a Quick letter that I also have the option for email.

A difficulty that Dentrix will have is that once the patient information is passed, the quick letter is actually under control of Microsoft Word. Within Word, under the File menu (or the Office Orb in 2007), there is a "Send" option that will send the document as an email in Outlook.

A quick letter (reciept/walkout) that you can email to a patient when they have paid over the phone or just prefer email correspondance.

There is also the option to print it as PDF right to your desktop. The drag and drop to email. Works like a charm until they have this as an option.

There's obviously ways we can create and email and send the patient an attachment of that letter and other workarounds. Since majority of people now prefer correspondence to e-mail please make a quickletter option to merge into an email or send multiple e-mails via the letter merge, without the ecentral options.
