E-Central Portal Password

When using the E-Central patient portal (new patient forms), please add password requirements for the patients. There is a limit of 9 characters and no symbols can be used, but this isn't being communicated to the patients - creating MANY headaches for our staff and our patients. Please add this requirement. Furthermore, there should be a "forgot password?" capability so patient's don't have to call our office to retrieve it. This system is archaic in its current state.

I agree with Guest from 7/2020 and what is suprising is that NOTHING has changed during pandemic when this is such a vital importance for safety. I'm bummed that Dentrix and Henry Schein One have turned a deft ear....we are BUSY...we do not have time to gain popularity votes about this! If the portal is your vehicle for communicating forms, then direct the patient with greater clarity...it's caused nothing but frustration. It's not a useful form...some patients are quite angry about it!

I'm not a fan of having the portal as the main option for patients to fill out forms. Especially the COVID screen form that is used frequently. Signing up for a portal is a hassle. The Covid form is a hassle to begin with in their eyes and I need a quick way to check who is still needing to complete the task.

I would LOVE a separate link for the COVID form, attachable to automated communications. The return would come into questionnaires and just be directed to doc ctr when completed.

Yes, I apologize for the confusion and thank you for the clarification. It is for our existing patients to create a username and password when registering for a portal. It does NOT tell them that their username or password is too long, creating so much confusion and frustration on the back end.

This is primarily for existing patient forms as new patients don't need to make a password, to clarify. but agreed 100%!!! this is a major problem.
