This would be awesome! So easy to lose paper lists when multiple people work in the office, currently created a shared excel spread sheet...but still room for errors like not getting saved, or someone missing adding a patient in since an extra step and it gets very busy. Some patients don't want to schedule an appointment they know they can't take and a quick call list works best for them which is also a plus for us needing to fill cancels.
there needs to be a way to track and triage patients that call in and need treatment for broken teeth, or emergencies, etc. that are unscheduled. Telling a patient they must wait for 4-5 months to return for treatment doesn't go over well. Using the work around suggested by placing them on a day office is closed will likely generate a text or appt reminder message to them which will really confuse the issue.
It would be FANTASTIC if dentrix would provide an alert/pop up when booking an appointment letting you know that benefit maximums will be reached with that appointment. Please :)
Hey y'all. You can always type the word ASAP in the Appt Description, in front of the description of the appt and then make the appt notes as to their personal preference. It has helped me many times fill a schedule. It will stand out on your list when you pull it up the unscheduled.
How this is not already in place in crazy. It's been talked about for almost 3 years, says "likely to implement"- yet still NOTHING! We "force"patients to make appt 3 months out that they don't really want so that we can have them on the ASAP list. Causes nothing but problems!
In addition to this, make it possible to edit unscheduled appts from the More Info button rather than having to open the unscheduled list separately. Just like we can open existing and past appointments from the More Info box, we should be able to open that unscheduled appointment block to make notes/changes as well!
Please! This would be so helpful. Often times we have patients with only 1
or 2 days of availability and beyond that, they cannot commit to an
appointment. Great idea to implement.
Also - it would be nice to be able to sort the ASAP/Will Call List by different categories, such as the date that the patient was put on the list. This way, patients could be called based on first-come-first-serve basis instead of the date of their scheduled appointment.
I usually will break the appointment. Then it shows up on the unscheduled list. Still the only way to find it is to open the unscheduled list and hunt for it by date. It would be nice if we could sort the unscheduled list by other criteria, such as name.
Many patients choose not to schedule too far out because they aren't sure of their schedule for that period of time. In theory, I appreciate that they aren't booking an appointment they may not be able to keep. The wait/will call feature is too frequently used for those patients that are not as treatment motivated as the ASAP listed patient.
Agreed, I find my staff using asap but not unscheduled to try to fill asap and than we are frantically trying to fill the schedule. Or Fake apts are being made just to get them on the asap list.
This would be great!

You could always create the appointment and just add to the 'wait/will call' list
This would be great, I have notes on my desk for those that want appts now and I have gotten them mixed up and shredded in the past

Perhaps, in the interim, add an option to display a column for "Schedule" on the Unscheduled List to see if it is ASAP, FIXED, OPEN.

This would be so helpful!! Currently we have an asap binder where we have to manually keep track of patients wanting sooner.
If you add someone to the will call list they don't need an apt. You can view them in the unscheduled list under a seperate catagory W/Call
Having any sort of waiting list for people who are not scheduled and genuinely are wanting to get in (not just the unscheduled list) would be great.
