Yes, I agree that when a patient signs the treatment that the whole entire treatment plan + agreement needs to be in the document center so that we can see what the patient was orginally treatment planned and that they signed.

Currently the only thing that goes in is the agreement, which doesn't do much good, because you don't have a leg to stand on because there is no treatment plan attached to show them what they signed.

This is a efficient, fantastic idea. It would be great to see all explaination of benefits go directly into the document center! This helps us to be more efficient!

Dentrix G4.7 added an option to allow printing of certain reports (just statements I think) to auto print to the document center as you are requesting. Open Office Manager | Maintenance | Practice Setup | Preferences | Print Options, and check the box next to 'Copy Billing Statements to Document Center'.

Not only to Doc Ctr. It should have the same toolbar as the other modules.

If you print to the batch processor, instead of just hitting the print icon, choose the print preview icon. This will open the document in the print preview window and you can choose file, then print and the print dialogue box will open allowing you to select the Dentrix Document center as your destination.

Great first step on adding this feature to the billing statements. This option needs to be available with everything printed from Dentrix.

In addition, I would like to be able to Print to the document center without first saving the document (in the instance of a referral) as we are paperless there is no need to save to the hard drive and take up additional hard drive space.

this should be easy enough as it's already being done with Billing statements. When printed, they automatically send a copy to the Document Center (depending on your settings).

This would be GREAT, especially when sending over-due notices and collection letters! Perferrably NOT in PDF format, unless Dentrix changes the doc center to make those PDF files edit-able like other files.

Agree! Currently we send treatment plans presented to the Document Center for patient signature and lock-in feature. Would be more efficient and effective to have this feature exclusively in the treatment planner module. A folder available in the treatment planner module to view history of treatment plans presented plus signature of acknowledgement would be a great improvement. Advantage is documentation and user friendly for the staff both clinical and admin. Thank you for your consideration.

Great idea

Treatment planner needs to have a function to send it directly to the Document Center. Right now, if I want to save a copy, I have to preview, change the printer to the Document Center Printer, Open the document center, open the unfiled documents, and pull in the unfiled document, label and date. This is already done when a patient signs a form in the treatment planner. we just need some kind of button to send it there automatically when we print a copy for the patient. Otherwise, the Treatment Plan can change and we don't have record of what was originally quoted.

It would be nice to have be able to automatically print the treatment plan to the document center when printing a copy for the patient. Just the billing statements can. Because it is nice to have a copy in there for future reference, especially if a patient tries to say they were told a different copay amount.

Would also like insurance claims to be sent to Document Center automatically when printed.

It would be great if it went into the correct patient's chart instead of in the unfiled doc center.

A big frustration with Document Center for us is that when we print a Treatment Plan to present to a patient, it is a major hassle to attach an electronic copy to the patient's file in document center. Why can't it be done automatically like it is for Consent Forms? Signed, Charles Wilson DDS - owner dentist and Dentrix user for about 20 years !!
