When reviewing the Ledger for accuracy and insurance billing it is important to see all of the procedures grouped together by tooth number (for the same date). For procedures that have multiple codes (e.g., crown, bridge) it ensures that all codes are posted correctly and nothing was left off. If you sort the Ledger by the tooth column it combines too much information all together and is hard to work with. It is better if all procedures from the same date were grouped by tooth number first.
