Most often, to present the patient with a quick printout of their proposed treatment plan, I just use the Print command in Chart, right next to the "Refresh" button. This opens up the Print Preview Setup dialog box. I would like to see an option somewhere to set how the items are sorted on the printout. Currently it seems they are sorted according to ADA Code number. This would be very useful for big treatment plans that have to be sequenced (in Treatment Planner Layout): if the printout could be sorted according to how the procedures are sequenced, it would be much clearer for the patient. Otherwise, I have to export the print preview to an Excel spreadsheet and manually move all the procedures around, to create an easy-to-understand printout for the patient.

Printing treatment from the tooth chart has its limitations when it comes to sort and order of treatment. the treatment planner module allows for many more options that aid in your request.
