It would be useful so that other than having to re-batch the claim in order to see the total amount billed on the claim you can just view it in the claim form itself through the ledger. The reason why re-batching a claim for viewing the total billed (UCR) amount is if your fees have changed, it only shows the current fees as of that day not the day that you first sent the claim.
