NEW PATIENT ENTRY SCREEN

Hello, I'm hoping to bring attention to some concerns that have come up since the New Patient Entry Screen was last updated on Dentrix.

  1. The first issue is that it automatically creates a file in our data base. This makes extra work for us because when the patient does not end up showing up to the appointment or cancels this appointment, and does not wish to rebook, we have to go into our data base and delete this patient off our system.

  2. This next issue is more a result when we don't add a New Patient to existing family members by using the drop down menu on the New Patient Screen. When we go afterwards to merge the New patient to the existing family members it ends up deleting all address and contact info from the other family members files.

  3. ****This is something we have noticed since the update and it happens randomly: We have started noticing that some appointments we book for our regular patients end up afterwards with the NP- symbol as if they are a new patient. We have double checked and their file is untouched and still reflects the existing treatment that have had in the past with us. We have eliminated the possibility of human error at time of booking. We have also noticed that when we are moving a patient's appointment using the pinboard, it will randomly convert this existing patients appointment to with NP- symbol. We have to then go in and delete the appointment and "rebook" making sure there is no NP-symbol.****

How do we go about fixing these issues going forward?
