Our office does not accept assignment of benefits. We still receive multiple check payments from insurance companies that assume we do. We make sure the box "assignment of benefits" is unchecked but that is not enough. It creates a hassle for patients to get reimbursed directly by their insurances and to our operations as we have to document the error, send back correspondence and communicate errot to patients as well.
