Dentrix Ideas

Email receipts/ledgers directly through Dentrix

There should be an email option on the ledger that allows users to email receipts/ledgers etc directly through Dentrix picking up the email from the family file instead of printing (wasting paper), scanning, emailing and then shredding.

Thank you for the suggestion. we do currently have a feature that you can email customers, please see the steps below.

    For users with G3+:

    1. Send the desired report to the Batch (Family Ledger, Walkout, etc).

    2. Print Preview the document | File | Print Report |

    3. Choose Send to Dentrix Document Center as the printer | Click OK

    4. Open the Document Center for the patient.

    5. Select Acquire | Unfiled Documents and drag file onto the patient's name in Document Center

    6. Make sure the report is selected and then click (File | Send Documents if there is a email client set up)

    7. This will attach the report to an email that you can send to the patient.

    8. Select file | Export Documents | create a folder e.g. "email file" name the document and click save.

    9. Open a HIPAA compliant email service or email the practice uses, and attach the email through that client, click "Send"

If isn't an easy button that could be created... maybe in addition to the printer "Send to Doc Center" maybe there could be a printer "Print to email".

There should be an easier way to direct email without all these additional steps
