We are already very good about adding the xray codes when we need to. This is just causing duplicates and adding more clicks to the process of taking xrays. (Comment in general, there is way too much clicking necessary in Dentrix!). We are in the process of converting all our images from a different imaging software and importing images-- patients should not be charged for images that were already taken and it is causing extra work and having to double check that they are not being added incorrectly into the ledger.

It appears this has been implemented in Dentrix Imaging v120.1
I searched for this but didn't find it before posting my own version. I agree.
One workaround is to use the Acquire menu button (it looks like a scanner) to initiate Imaging Procedures rather than the Launch Dentrix Imaging button. There you can configure procedures to have "Do Not Post Codes" by default.
(Configuration of Acquisition presets is done through the Settings cog on the upper right of the Smart Image panel.)
