Change the "prior balance" and "current credit" on the walk out receipt!! We receive many questions or calls a day about the "prior balance" and "current credit", and is consuming far too much time. What the insurance or patient's last payment was should absolutely not show up as a previous balance. Patients get concerned that they had an overdue balance. And patient's portion of today's appointment should not say "current credit" It looks like we owe them. And then to minus a current credit from something that was already paid, plus todays charge for a "new balance" number that is completely irrelevant, just does not make sense. The whole walkout receipt is very confusing.
