When doing an advanced search by mobile, work, other, fax number, it does not work using the whole phone number. Entering the entire number 123-456-7891, Dentrix reformats it to (123) 456-7891. A search yields no results. If I leave off the last digit of the phone number and do not format it, i.e. 123456789 (leave off the final "1") then it will search and bring up all phone numbers 123-456-7891 through 123-456-7899 in the patient database. If any formatting is done to the partial phone number, then it does not pull up any patients. Can this be fixed? The work-around works, but it is not intuitive.
