We need to be able to set EOB claim acknowledgements and errors to automatically print by default rather than go to the Document Centre. Placing them in the Document Centre by default results in increased admin steps as the EOB Acknowledgements must be provided to the patient prior to them leaving the clinic, so admin must go through the print process.
I know emailing is an option, but again more admin steps to email the EOB to the patient, and we certainly do not have every patients email, nor do they all want an emailed copy.
None of the EOB docs are meant to be retained by the practice. So having 3 check boxes under Office Manager - Maintenance - Preferences - Printing tab to manage the auto printing of EOB Approvals, EOB Acknowledgements, and EOB errors would be perfect. I say 3 separate checkboxes because some practices may want some (or all) of these EOB messages to go to their Doc Centre.
If you want to make the process seamless and handle a possible future request, if someone opts for putting EOB's into Doc Centre have an option (secondary check box?) to trigger the email window to open automatically with the EOB attached and the Patients email and subject pre-filled.
