Clinical Order for Posting Treatment, Not Numerical Order by Code for Posting Treatment

Old versions of Dentrix allowed us to use a multicode procedure button to post treatment to a treatment plan, post treatment to an appointment, and then, set the appointment complete. The pre-set clinical note would post in clinical notes in the same order that we posted treatment. For example, we could post a build up, crown, and crown delivery. When making the appointment, the appointment would read build up, crown, delivery. When the appt. was set complete, the pre-set notes would read build up, crown, delivery.

Sometime about 4 months ago, a Dentirx update changed this so that now the procedures post by numerical order by code, and it is AWFUL AND MAKES NO SENSE!!! Now, my multicode button that is designed to post build up, crown, delivery, posts to the treatment plan delivery (D0012), Crown (D2740), build up (D2950). It then posts to the appointment that way, then posts to the clinical note when I set the appointment complete, BACKWARDS. I need the note to read the way we did treatment in real life, in the operatory, so that the note tells and accurate story and we can follow along. I don't care about the numerical order of the CDT code, I want to customize the procedural order by real life flow of the appointment.

Your techs agree, although they are not experienced with this issue, which surprises me, because this change is driving us crazy and makes no sense when reading through an appointment or a clinical note.

Please update or revert back to the good old days form a few months ago when things made sense. Please contact me to help show you what i mean, I think I can be a good resource for thousands of practices out there that I am sure are dealing with the same frustration if they are any good about taking notes. Thank you.
