We are a large office with many receptionists booking patients. Patients often go by different names but we have to have their "official name" on their chart as it must match their insurance details for claims to process properly. Thus duplicate charts do happen frequently. Of course if we catch it early we can delete the duplicate chart before any activity happens. However we cannot(and will not) delete a chart that has chart notes, financial activity and x-rays on it so this is a problem when duplicate charts have this activity on them. If we could just merge these active charts that would be wonderful.
