It would be very helpful if I could select multiple patients when modifying document attachments. This would save a lot of time when trying to upload the insurance verification form to the entire family. It would also be nice if it automatically pulled up the family file of the current guest when adding / modifying documents.

You can. Highlight the attachment, Right click on it and go to Modify attachment. Several options are there including to attach to additional patients.
