This came with the new Dentrix update and it is a nice feature to see who is signed in on that computer however, it shows first and last name of the employee and if the assistants are in Dentrix when they bring a patient back into their operatory the patient can possibly see their first and last names. Is there anyway that you could just make it so that their first names show only or not at all? Just a note that on our appt books in the operatories we do not have anything showing on the schedules back there but the tooth number and the referring doctor. Everything else does not show so we are being HIPAA compliant.
