There should be the ability to set payment agreements to a specific member of the family, rather than the whole family. I do not want to have to split a member out of the family especially if they are on the parent/spouse's insurance.
If Dentrix decides not to do this, then make the "apply to payment agreement" box in the payment window defaulted to un-checked.
