One of our major insurance carriers (UPMC Dental Advantage) is requiring patient's individual ID numbers on claims, effective 7/1/23. For example, the subscriber's ID# is xxxxx-01; spouse is xxxxx-02; child #1 is xxxxx-03, child #2 is xxxxx-04, etc. We currently can enter only ONE ID# per subscriber that affects all family members. We often have multiple family members scheduled in 1 day. This will make it very difficult to bill claims unless it is changed.
